Safety-at-Sea Seminars

 

“Safety-at-Sea” Seminars are the leading resource for offshore sailing safety practices including safe seamanship, heavy-weather tactics, boat prep and other topics that one day may save your or someone else’s life.  SAS is required for some races such as Newport-Bermuda Race and is of value to any sailor who sails or races offshore.  It is typically a one day seminar with on-the-water sessions in some locations (see schedule below).  Ron Trossbach, the US Sailing Seminar Chairman, has given permission to offer below some great presentations from the SAS sessions in Newport and Chicago in early 2008:
